The TanzLab JoannOrdonez is a unique dance school in Heidelberg that specializes in Oriental Dance and Salsa Lady Style. Founded in 2021 by Joann Ordonez, an internationally recognized dancer and dance educator, TanzLab stands for high-quality dance instruction, cultural exchange, and the promotion of a strong community for women. The concept combines professional dance instruction with a safe and supportive environment where women of all ages can discover and develop their passion for dance.

Since its founding in 2021, TanzLab has rapidly evolved and become an integral part of Heidelberg’s dance and cultural scene. From a small initiative with just a few hours of instruction per week, it has grown into a thriving community with regular performances, shows, and events.

TanzLab is exclusively led by Joann Ordonez, who handles all administration as well as the dance instruction herself. Her versatile expertise allows for the courses to be individually tailored and offers students well-founded dance instruction. For special workshops and events, she occasionally invites external instructors to provide additional perspectives and techniques.

TanzLab offers weekly classes in Oriental Dance and Lady Style (Salsa, Bachata) & NEW Ballet (Adults & Kids) for women of all experience levels. The offerings include regular courses, workshops, private lessons (both in-person and online) to expand the reach beyond the city limits of Heidelberg, and performance groups.
